We are delighted to be gold sponsors of this years SHE Management Conference. As a pivotal event in the Kelvatek calendar, we look forward to networking with peers & customers and learning about the latest innovations in safety, health and environment from across the industry.
This year we will be spotlighting our 11kv overhead monitoring solution LineSIGHT, a device that is not only working to protect overhead lines but is also protecting lives.
Currently deployed on over 3800 km of overhead lines across the UK, LineSIGHT is underpinned by a commitment to safety for both the public and the teams that protect our network.
However we have a bigger ambition and want to extend LineSIGHT's reach to protect the 158,000 km of overhead lines that still remain unmonitored across the UK.
Providing overhead fault detection across the 11kv network, LineSIGHT can detect a number of fault types simultaneously, helping teams quickly locate and de-energise lines to allow repairs to commence quickly and safely.
• Rapidly locate causes of outages to within 250 metres
• Detect and locate developing network issues before they become dangerous
• Quickly allocate correct resources to incidents during storms
• Identify and locate nested faults during storms, enabling immediate response rather than detecting issues once the first fault is repaired
• Target maintenance, upgrades and replacement to maximise safety
PRESense's RLM monitoring capability implements a series of proprietary high sensitivity triggers to identify the perturbations and patterns associated with insulation breakdown and developing fire risk.
• Identify developing load issues, such as potential overload caused by increasing numbers of EVs and issues caused by distributed generation.
• Gather data that can be used by Kelvatek’s existing multi-ended and multi-point fault location systems, supporting accurate location of even the most difficult faults.
• Identify, capture and measure key parameters which are used to detect fault precursors on Low Voltage feeder networks being monitored.
• Transmit relevant data, minimising transport and storage requirements and reducing costs of turning raw data into actionable information.
A re-energisation device that significantly reduces the risk of personal injury when replacing LV fuses. It allows a potentially faulty or overloaded circuit to be safely energised from a distance of up to 30m.

Protect more than just lines, protect lives
We’d like to introduce the Kelvatek team attending this years conference...
Since joining the team in 2019, Gordon has built on the existing success of Kelvatek in the UK and Ireland energy market, working to support electricity network operators in order to improve their network performance and efficiency.
During this time, he has worked hard to create a financially secure, dynamic and growing business that delivers significant value for customers in the net zero transition and works to fortify network performance across the UK.
Jorone has been in the Energy Industry for over a decade, spending the last 4 years as part of the Kelvatek team. He's had a mix of commercial, consultancy and technical roles working in corporates, government and start-ups. This variety of experience has equipped him to deliver great success within his role as account director and deliver significant results when addressing the risk to network performance and helping drive the adoption of digital solutions such as our Sapient service.
Schedule a meetingJonathan has over 20 years’ experience working within Kelvatek, holding roles in engineering, product management and leadership. Having worked across LV (low voltage) auto re-closing, fault location technology, network management and technology innovation projects. Jonathan has helped our customers maintain quality of supply, reduced customer interruptions and helped lower risk within network performance.
Jonathan currently leads Kelvatek's Future Networks Programme, delivering innovative solutions to allow DNOs to make better use of their electricity networks.
Schedule a meetingStephen is a relatively new addition to the team, having joined Kelvatek as an Account Director in March 2023. He has over 25 years of experience in the utilities industry, which includes 10 years working for a number of enterprise software providers where he helped many utilities move to digital. In his current role he leads the account team, managing service delivery and the commercial relationship for one of our largest customers.
Having worked for a Utility as well as providing services to utilities, he is well versed in the complexities of regulated industry, which has proven to be a great benefit when engaging with customers.
Schedule a meetingWith degrees from both Strathclyde and Glasgow universities, Jim designed his first cable fault locator in 1989, and since then has held a number of technical, commercial and managerial roles in global cable fault location, test equipment and monitoring companies.
Joining Kelvatek in 2011, Jim has worked across a variety of projects within the business and is currently responsible for the Product Management of the company’s Low Voltage product range.
Schedule a meetingVitalie guides the development of enduring solutions for electricity distribution network problems. With over 14 years’ experience as an engineer and product manager he helps Kelvatek customers overcome the pains in software, infrastructure and cyber security that typically hinder innovation adoption.
As well as taking part in fault management on LV, Vitalie is thrilled to lead the introduction of LineSIGHT, which improves safety and resilience of overhead lines.
