Product overview
Key features
Full DGA profile
Provides a profile of up to nine key dissolved gases: hydrogen, methane, ethane, ethylene, acetylene, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and oxygen enabling the detection of the most common transformer failure modes.
Bushing monitoring
Monitors bushing insulation and internal electrical activity for early detection of insulation breakdown. Supported by Camlin’s innovative PD Triangle operators can analyse, diagnose and act early to prevent catastrophic failures.
Arcing events
Delivers detailed insights into arcing activity, including phase, winding, and event count, enabling correlation of events over time to reveal developing faults and allowing timely intervention.
Transformer analytics
Advanced thermal, moisture, load and insulation aging models offering enhanced visibility into overall transformer health and asset performance.
Ensuring transformer protection through TFC monitoring
Transformers experience varying through-fault currents (TFC), generated by external events, throughout their operational life. These events can cause internal mechanical stresses that gradually weaken the transformer, accelerate insulation aging, and increase the risk of failure.
TFC monitoring delivers early detection of potential faults, minimising downtime reducing operations and maintenance costs. This proactive approach to asset management, helps to minimise risk ensuring safety, reliability, and longevity of critical assets.
Benefits of TOTUS
Scalability
Easily adapt and scale your monitoring program with nine gas DGA, PD & Bushing, and TFC. TOTUS offers a flexible, customisable transformer monitor that grows and evolves in line with your transformer health and performance monitoring needs.
Reduced risk
Detect faults early, from overloads, insulation breakdown and arcing, before they escalate to safety hazards, asset damage, costly downtime, network instability, regulatory penalties, operational failures, or long-term performance degradation.
Optimised O&M
Focus limited expert maintenance resources to assets most at risk, rather than relying on schedule-based strategies. Prevent expensive emergency repairs and avoid premature asset replacements through condition-driven maintenance.
Extend transformer life
Utilise continuous health monitoring to prevent irreversible damage, maximise asset lifespan, and defer costly, long lead-time replacements. Identify emerging issues early to optimise maintenance schedules and support smarter, risk-based asset management decisions.
DGA Matrix: Simplify your DGA analysis
DGA analysis is essential for identifying developing transformer faults. However, no single diagnostic method provides a complete picture. Asset managers must compare multiple methods, each with its own thresholds and variables, making the process time-consuming and complex process also requiring deep expertise.
Camlin’s DGA Matrix simplifies DGA interpretation by bringing all leading diagnostic methods together in one clear, color-coded view, simplifying your interpretation in just a click.
PD Triangle: See PD activity clearly without the noise
With large amounts of partial discharge monitoring data, asset managers often face the challenge of understanding which transformers are affected by PD?
The PD Triangle provides a simple, color-coded visual image showing the presence, intensity, and indicates the phase of PD activity. Asset managers can quickly identify which transformers have active PD and which are PD-free, enabling efficient screening of asset fleets.
With a clear view of asset health, you can focus time, resources, and budgets where they matter most.
