Camlin Energy today announced the expansion of its collaboration with Terra‑Gen, one of the United States’ largest independent renewable energy producers, to deliver a comprehensive transformer monitoring program across a growing portfolio of solar, wind and energy storage projects. Terra‑Gen selected Camlin Energy in April 2025, establishing an agreement for the supply of monitoring technology, services and support.
Terra‑Gen identified the need for a coordinated monitoring program to protect critical transformers across numerous project sites in Texas and California. Camlin Energy is delivering its TOTUS Total Transformer Monitoring solution providing real‑time visibility of transformer condition through dissolved gas analysis (DGA), partial discharge (PD) detection, bushing monitoring and through‑fault current analysis. This technology is supported by Camlin’s Expert Services, data interpretation and ongoing technical assistance, enabling Terra‑Gen to strengthen reliability, extend asset life and reduce operational risk.
Camlin’s monitoring solutions enable condition‑based maintenance, reducing unplanned outages, improving safety and helping Terra‑Gen make more timely and informed decisions about the health of their growth transformer fleet.
A key element of the collaboration has been Camlin’s close engagement with Terra‑Gen’s engineering and operations teams. By working together to develop a comprehensive monitoring strategy, the companies have established a collaboration model that prioritizes reliability, responsiveness and long‑term value. Camlin also provides a highly experienced team located near Terra‑Gen’s Southern California sites, ensuring rapid support and continuity of service.
Commenting on the partnership, Terra‑Gen’s High Voltage general manager, Jessie Nevarez, said: “As we continue to expand our renewable energy portfolio, maintaining the reliability of our assets is essential. Camlin’s monitoring technology and services provides us insight that helps us continue to operate efficiently while protecting the long‑term performance of our infrastructure.”
Keith Redfearn, President & CEO, Camlin Americas added: “Terra‑Gen is a leader in the clean energy production and we are proud to support them. Our monitoring solutions and services are designed to help operators make informed decisions that protect assets, improve performance and strengthen the resilience of the grid. We look forward to supporting Terra‑Gen as their portfolio continues to grow.”
CEO of Camlin Group Peter Cunningham also welcomed the collaboration, he said: “This collaboration reflects the shared commitment of both organisations to deliver reliable, high‑quality renewable energy at scale. By combining advanced monitoring technology with expert services, we are helping Terra‑Gen safeguard their clean energy infrastructure across the United States.”
