In this case study, Signet automatically re-configured the signalling power supply following a cable theft incident.

Attempted Cable Theft Causes Signet Feeder to Re-Configure

Signet is considered a protection device which operates when an abnormal voltage or current reading is detected. During an attempted cable theft, an overcurrent was detected by Signet, causing the feeder to commence its re-configuration process and send notification alarms to Network Rail maintenance teams.
