On Wednesday, 18th February 2026, Camlin Rail attended a successful, first-of-its-kind All-Island Rail Summit here in our home city, Belfast, at the Titanic Museum.
The event brought together rail leaders, policymakers and supply chain partners from across the island of Ireland and the UK. We heard from a range of experts in their keynote sessions, centred around cross-collaboration both North and South of the island.
We heard keynote contributions from Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins and Minister of State at Ireland’s Department of Transport Sean Canney, TD, alongside industry leaders including Chris Conway and Mary Considine. Updates from Translink and Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail highlighted current projects and feasibility studies supporting the All-Island Strategic Rail Review and Prioritisation Strategy, including key themes such as decarbonisation, intercity connectivity, sustainable cities and regional and rural accessibility.
Paul Fleming, Managing Director of Camlin Rail, gave an insightful presentation on the importance of collaboration with SMEs and how one contract transformed Camlin Rail into a global railway business.

As Paul reflected: “Camlin Rail’s sponsorship demonstrates our belief in the vision and ambition of the Strategic Rail Review, a programme that, when fully supported and funded, has the potential to deliver long-term economic and social benefits for generations to come.
“The collaboration demonstrated throughout the day, north and south of the border, showed a clear commitment to designing and delivering the rail network of the future. The journey ahead is significant, but so too is the innovation, drive and determination across our industry to make it happen.”
It was a great, well-attended event and we are looking forward to another successful summit next year in Dublin!
