Automatic Pantograph Inspection: Camlin Rail completing PanVue roll out across the RFI network in Southern Italy

It’s a busy time for everyone at Camlin Rail, as the business is working on the roll out of 38 PanVue Automatic Video Inspection Systems for our customer, RFI, across five regions in southern Italy – Rome, Florence, Naples, Reggio Calabria and Palermo. PanVue, part of our TrainVue suite of rolling stock monitoring products, is the first in the industry to adopt a fully automated machine vision system based on stereo vision to assess the pantograph conditions at 300 km/h.

Installation at Pignataro marked a fundamental instalment on this journey, not just providing our customer with value on their highspeed line from Rome to Naples, but also improving efficiency and enhancing safety and operations. We are delighted that everything on the installation went smoothly first time around, and we were able to demonstrate the skills and expertise of our teams!
