Biogas upgrading

With the growing demand for low-carbon gas, biogas is being produced from an ever-increasing variety of sources. Waste-based feedstocks carry higher levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), as well as hydrogen sulfide and ammonia, which negatively impact efficiency and performance. Our BioSpec VOC analyzer enables biomethane (renewable natural gas) plant suppliers and operators to monitor the removal of volatile organic compounds and other contaminants in real time and maximize plant efficiency and uptime.

Monitoring of odorants

For safety reasons, an odorant is added to the gas prior to distribution, allowing users to detect leaks or problems with appliances. Our BioSpec Rhino system allows gas distribution network operators to continuously and accurately monitor individual odorant components and odorant mixtures, providing 24/7 information on the odorant composition of natural gas, biomethane or hydrogen, ensuring that each odorant component is present at the correct concentration.
